Very fast check in at Alamo desk using the kiosks. There was only one car left of our grade when we arrived but it was fine - very comfortable and clean (apart from a residual smell in the boot of the car from the previous occupants - smelt like spilt milk that had not been cleared up properly). Will definitely use again.

We then had to pay for an upgrade. Not happy. They then tried to sell, sell and sell more products, informing us we were not covered for breakdown cover. They then told us we would need to purchase a toll package as the toll booths no longer excepted cash, this was a lie as they do.

I knew I had everything booked with US Car Hire. I had multiple problems with the car and after a week, Alamo upgraded me.....to a Cadillac SRX4! Can't complain about service like that from Alamo

Car was new and clean. Quick check in procedure. Only quibble is the slight pressure to upgrade by quoting that car trunk could only hold 1 large + 1 small suitcase when I could have got a football team in there! (Well we actually got 2 large suitcases plus 2 carry ons with some free space for smaller bags). I guess though we were lucky enough to bag a Hyundai Sonata. Kia Soul was also in Category and that would struggle with trunk space.

Alamo did not have a full size car available but upgraded to a SUV at no extra cost without hesitation. The vehicle was excellent one of the best I have rented.

Welcomed by the Alamo desk and explained all that was needed. Was guided to an area of many vehicles that I could choose from. Chose vehicle and exited via security check to check car details were correct. Vehicle was exactly as I had asked for. When dropping off at the airport just had to wait couple of mins whilst Alamo staff member scanned vehicles barcode and checked that all was in order. (very pleasent staff and a man even carried our luggage to our check in desk). Would highly recommend this company.

Plenty of space in cabin but boot isn't as big as you'd imagine for suitcases. A high boot floor and a curved rear door restrict flexibity. Reversing camera useful & mpg of 20 is offset by cheap fuel. Be careful at pumps as diesel is a green nozzle & unleaded is black!
