Overall our rental experience was great, very smooth and easy. The car we received from Alamo was virtually brand new, well presented at pick up and had a very decent spec. The toll road charges system also works great and seems a reasonable cost across the duration of our rental. Our only very slight issue was that it seemed irrelevant that I had 'checked in' on line. Using the kiosk worked OK and avoided the risk of up selling. However care is needed as some of the wording used can be confusing. (Might have something to do with flight fatigue as well.) I think it could also be simpler as I seemed to be re entering details I'd already entered via their web site when I registered to use the kiosk.??

I have always been happy with US Car Hire, the system works very well and the tariffs beat the car rental companies quite comfortably. I would also recommend the pre-purchase "Roadside Assist" I feel it is worth it for the peace of mind the extra cover brings. However my recent car hire with Alamo at Orlando Int. Airport gave reason for caution. Having shown the desk clerk the pre-paid Roadside Assist form and told him I did not require this add on from Alamo he proceeded to add this to my agreement. I stupidly signed this agreement missing the add on in the small print. I found the extra payment only after checking my credit card statement. After many emails with Alamo I have gained a full refund, but there is no guarantee of this action. Of course this incident had nothing to do with the original booking with US Car Hire.

Best experience I had with car hire. Alamo desk easy to locate, quick to get through. I got an upgraded car - great for 5 adults and all the luggage, including 3 sets of golf clubs

This time was a bit annoying! I had to return to the car rental twice after the initial time because I was not comfortable with the vehicles provided to me instead of the type I requested! (Tahoe) But thanks to a beautiful young lady named Siomi that rescued my experience I will continue to give you guys nothing but praise! She is the best! Siomi gets 5 stars!

We arrived at the airport to be told that there was no vehicles whatsoever of any type, to tell this to an upset crowd of over 100 customers you can imagine what followed, the sherrif was called to attend to the customers who lost control of their emotions, i would like someone from US Car hire to contact me please as this unfortunate occurance was not your fault i think that you should be made aware of what happens to YOUR customers and how they have been treated by your Partners. It was my first time using US carhire and to be honest o was a little scared at first. But after doing some research and reading comments of previous renters, i could definetely say, i've mad the right choice. Everything went smoothly, i also made use of the Online fast check in at alamo, so basically , everyghing was done through the computer. The only person i spoke to , was the lady that handed me my keys. I will continue to book through us car hire for the great experience and most important the unbeatable price.

Customer service by Alamo was non existent. Unused to driving in the US it would have been nice had an Alamo representative explained the basics of operating the vehicle and perhaps offered to assist in directing us to our ultimate destination some four hours away ie what route to take coming out of the airport! It was simply a case of producing confirmation of the car rental and "away you go".
