Service and communication are excellent. Alamo quick check in was a dream. However we did have a little wait soon return. Please let others know the local fuel station at orlando airport charges over double the cost for a fallen of fuel. All holiday we were paying $2.50 a gallen the local airport garage charged $5.97.

Misleading bordering on deception! I was told you are ready to go having purchased the silver option. Then I was told "It has a full tank you don't have to bring it back full" I wasn't told if I don't I would be charged an outrageous amount for filling it up!" I feel that I was taken advantage of and really upset over this whole saga.. spoiling a really great holiday.

Alamo staff were great in Newark, no queue or hassle when I was there. This was the only location in New York where I could rent a 7 seat SUV.

We were very happy with the service you provided. We used the machine check-in and then went straight to the pick-up point where one of the representatives took us straight to our car (we were told at the check-in machine that we could choose from a line of cars, but our flight was late so we were given a car by the attendant). We were very happy with it, although when we asked about a SatNav (which we had paid extra for) we discovered it was an integral part of the car and we have asked for a refund. The car performed wonderfully well as did the SatNav, and we were delighted with it. Thank you.

I think you are brilliant but as I just mentioned in testimonial, one always has to watch out for the clerks at Alamo whether in Tampa or Miami. There is not a single time, where they have not tried, to get me to pay extra. Normally they say the car I rented is too small and they will argue until they are blue in the face. If I remain firm and disagree they will then try to rent me a car that is smaller than the one I have booked. To avoid this I print off every item of paperwork including a picture of the car in the range I have booked, and a picture of the cars I have not booked. It is only when I can produce all this evidence that they will capitulate.

I found the US Carhire booking process straight forward enough. At the sharp end, the Alamo kiosks at LAX were easy to use and avoided the long queues at the counter and the hard sell staff behind it. I have used other online car hire booking sites before for car hire in the US, but this has been the best so far.

Everything ran seamlessly. The pick-up was straightforward. However the agent really pushed hard to sell the additional roadside assistance. Luckily I was able to resist equally hard :)

Overall experience was great, good car and easy to return. However - the actual hiring process picking up the keys was a real hazzle. The reason is that the Alamo representative was trying pushing for additional upgrades and different car types. When we declined the rep. was trying to scare us that we would never know what car we would get, it might look ok, but could stop anywhere. Bad move that made us distrust Alamo. Anyway, the car worked out fine, and we were happy to have it for 3 weeks. We might even use Alamo again.
