Only downside is that yet again Alamo tried to rip us off. We had booked a 7 seater Chevvy Tahoe jeep. They tried to say we had hired a 5 seater and wanted us to upgrade to the 7 seater as the 5 seater would be too small for all of us. Aslo wanted to rent us sat nav when the vehicle we hired had it as standard. I have experienced this sales tacticts before.

I was given the keys to a car I expected and loaded all luggage and headed off however when leaving the parking garage I presented documents to the chap on the desk and he told me the booking had been cancelled!!! Not happy at that point but we did eventually get it resolved. No idea why this happened.

Only complaint is with Alamo as once again the car was not very clean inside, I had to spend some time when I got to my destination cleaning the interior, steering wheel etc.

One thing to note is that Alamo is served by National at Newark, so you don't get to choose your own car from the lot (at least we weren't). Our car was a nicely equipped one, so in reality this might be less of an issue.

Only three buses came in over an hour and they lifted people from the back of the queue not the front. The car itself was great, exactly what we ordered.
