Everything went very smoothly, I did Alamo online check in and walked straight to garage. Alamo agent gave me a keys and off we go. Second day we got a problem with navigator power cable and navi was constantly shutting down. Then I noticed that left side rear quarter window was loose. I checked it and noticed that window openers glueing was detached. I needed to drive back to airport for change a car. Over there everything went smoothly. Tip of a day, to avoid problems with navigation device, ask a car with integrated navigation system.

I had to wait over 1 1/2 hours in the queue! I was told that they hadn't got the car that we had ordered and was shown pictures of 2 cars. I chose 1 and the paperwork was completed. My wife had gone to sit down with the bags because of the length of the wait. I gave her the paperwork, she looked at it and said have you upgraded. I said they didn't have the car that we ordered so they gave us another. This is when I found out that I had been charged and extra $686.00 for an upgrade and extra insurances. My wife took the paperwork to another lady who confirmed that this was the case. I told her that we didn't want the upgrade we wanted the car that we had ordered! She called the gentleman over that had served me and asked me if I had been told there would be an extra charge to which I replied no. She said that she would remove the charge from the paperwork and the extra charge would be refunded when the car was returned. Until I get my card statement I will not know if thie has been done. After almost 4 hours in the airport I didn't argue and took the car and left.

Great Service and Price once again. Booking with these guys will not only save you money, but cuts through the confusing choices of the American websites, and their insurance options. We have booked twice a year, for 12 years now, and have always had top class service. Don't book the optional Satnav, most models have them built in now.

Counter staff were friendly and looked after me efficiently. The car was amazing. This is the third time I have used US Car Hire and I have always received the car I have requested or a better one. In addition to this, the hire rates are the best by far. I will continue to use US Car Hire on future trips and recommend it to anyone traveling to the USA. Totally satisfied!

The website is fast, clear, & easy to use, and US Car Hire rates are always competitive. I have been renting cars in the US with Alamo for the last 30 years. Nowadays they have the Gold package which takes care of everything upfront, which means there are no additional local charges due when I collect the vehicle. Occasionally I have rented with other suppliers to check out the competition, but I keep coming back to US Car Hire & Alamo, because I know that I get a quality service at the best price. That's a winning combination.

You did not have the car I requested in stock. The agent did not tell me this on arrival only trying to upgrade me to a more expensive one. I downgraded the car to a cheaper one that had more space as I needed a large car for the family as you did not have any in the category I requested when I I arrived, even though it was supposed to be reserved.It is now 2 months and have not received any refund on the difference even after contacting yourselves and being assured by both the agents arrival/ drop off that the difference would be refunded. Your phone operator was rude when I rang and your online accounts staff are useless. I wouldn't rent from you again as the service was poor

Very straightforward - I initially went to use the kiosk at Alamo as the reception was very busy. I went wrong with my Credit Card and was assisted by an Alamo rep, who took me to a priority desk. I was sorted in no time and got the car we required,

Everything went extremely smoothly with ordering & paying for the car - when we arrived we had to use the customer service desk (rather than a kiosk) because we had ordered a GPS (which was fantastic & I would definitely recommend - stops arguments in the car when you get lost). The registration process was brilliant, quick & easy. When we got to the garage to pick the car, we asked for a Chevy Tahoe and we got one! brilliant - the car was fantastic, roomy and exceeded everything we hoped for. We had 4 adults & 4 large cases and it gave us the comfort we needed for travelling long distance. The drop off process was fantastic, we were met with a smile and a really friendly person who quickly checked us in. This was the best car rental we have ever had and we've had a lot both in the US and other countries. I would definitely recommend US Car Hire & Alamo - Superb!

Great service, quick collect through automated kiosks, in the middle of rental we got flat tire, changed the tire ourselves and brought the car to airport, got replacement and bigger car for less than 10 minutes at no extra charge! Alamo all the way now while we stay in the US.
