We have used US Car Hire for a number of years now and have had no problems at all. The only slight hiccup this year was that although we registred for Express Pick Up there were no kiosks at Tampa Airport. (although it does say there are 6). There was no problem as we chose our car and the lady did the paperwork at the kiosk.

Excellent staff at both collection and drop off, vehicle in good condition with a choice of SUV on arrival. No Hard upsell by staff. The only criticism is the off site drop off, made for an extremely bad last memory of the holiday, driving for over 1.5 hours looking for drop off site only found by following a courtesy bus, impossible to find even with Sat Nav!!!!

Paid for a mid size SUV. Went to the lot to collect my vehicle and there was a 'choice' of 3 Jeep vehicles, all exactly the same. This model is what the Americans call a 'strip' model. The most basic that can be manufactured. It was a hairdryer with wheels. Previously I have had mid size SUV Lincoln's, Ford and GMC - all up to expectations. I complained when I returned the car and the agent said that they have had a lot of complaints about that Jeep model not being up to standard. It is the cheapest that the company can find that they can call a mid size SUV. This is the second bad experience i have had this year. People in the car rental business think they can correct things by offering $$$ credits. I just want what I pay for and not to feel I have been conned by a cheapskate company like Alamo and their agent US Car hire. I have been a loyal customer for many years. You have lost my trust and I will not be bothering you again. 2 bad experiences in the last 3 hire deals is just unacceptable. Sean Murphy

Experience of USCarHire was excellent. Alamo on the other hand did however try to up sell us a larger car and extra insurance (all not required of course) - which we refused! This is the second time of using USCarHire and we wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to others in the future.

Booking was easy to complete and pay with the iPad app useful to keep an eye on the order. Also makes printing out the docs easy. Collection was easy with great staff processing the paperwork at Seattle Hilton. Car was almost new with only 3000 miles on the clock and great specification. The only critical point was that the car had been cleaned outside but had not been hoovered out very well as there with bits of food under the seats. Otherwise would have exceeded expectations. Car was great for what we wanted and never caused us a problem and we had the extra cover in place just in case. Drop off at LAX was really easy and transfer back to the terminals only a couple of minutes on the free bus. Overall a great service and was cheaper using USCar hire than going straight to Alamo. Will certainly be using this service again!
