Paid for full gas tank. Didnt notice was only 1/3 full till journey was well underway. When reported at return I was told I needed to go to Customer Services etc etc (lots of admin) which was going to cause me to miss my flight. Was not happy that their mistake was treated as my "issue". Overall unsatisfactory for this reason (only).

Could not have been better. Everything ran smoothly from booking the car to the pick up and eventually handing the car back. Managed for the second time in succession to pick up a brand new vehicle. US Car Hire excellent as ever.

When I got to the Alamo rental i was confronted that that was not the price I had to pay for the car. It seems that I had to take an insurance because it was not included. The price got from 140$ to 450$. That was to much. I had no choice but to downgrade the vehicle. I then took a standard sedan for which I had to pay 360$ in total for a week. As you can guess that was a blow. because the confirmation email said that insurance was included. I really hated that aspect of the rental. You expect one price and when you get there they add expenses and say that insurance is necessary

The first car we got from Sanford a Kia had several faults one we felt was dangerous and as we were on the way to Sarasota could not get back On the next day we went to Sarasota airport location and the lady there did not have a car of the same type but said to call back the next day and she would have one sorted for us .Sure enough she had the Ford Edge for us and was perfect for our needs so very happy in the end

Great value, and pickup/drop off all went smoothly. Only minor issues - didn't get Cherokee that we had hoped for, and return to SFO there wasn't an obvious petrol station to refill at - so had to pay extra on drop off for top up.

Transport to rental location and on return, to terminal was fine. Staff were very helpful throughout, SUV was a good drive. My only issue was that the SUV had not been cleaned inside or washed outside, and thus detracted from an overall very good.

On arriving after a long flight with two young children I found the Alamo desk and produced all my rental documents. I was then sent to collect my car. At the garage there were no cars fitting the description of the order I had placed so I had to return to the Alamo desk to discuss this further. I was then sold an upgrade which I hadn't asked for? I declined this and returned to the garage as more vehicles had now arrived. A vehicle fitting the description was now available and I took this one away. On returning the vehicle after my 2 week holiday I was greeted by a member of Alamo team who told me my vehicle hire would be an additional cost of est $450?! This was as I had upgraded! I then had a conversation with the team member which led me having to go back to the Alamo rental desk to speak with a manager. Eventually this was all sorted out and the manager agreed that I hadn't even had an upgrade and this was a mistake?! A lot of time messing about which is not easy when getting two young children and all luggage around an airport. Overall not the best experience!
