Only one pb: I rented (and paid!) a SFAR category but when I had to choose a car in the parking, Alamo's employee indicated a car that has been revealed a IFAR category (I had the confirmation at return of the car when reading the delivery receipt).

Car was not internally clean at pick up. Chewing gum was on seat belt. This was the only SFAR available. We arrived at night in heavy rain and windscreen was so dirty on the inside it was difficult to see through it. However we were involved RTA when another driver hit us and Almo help desk were really helpful.

Almost finished the whole procedure at the kiosk, when we got the message we couldn't proceed further and should ask for help at the desk. Of course then we heard that it's not possible for people with a non American drivers license to use the kiosk. According to your site it should not give any problems. At the desk the sales talk started immediately. "With so many suitcases your car is much to small, but we have a nice upgrade....". Of course we refused politely, but this exactly is what we wanted to avoid in the first place, when we booked a car at US Car Hire. Overall nothing but compliments, but not enough for a five rating.

Arrived in the garage to pick up the vehicle only to be told they had none!! Kept me and my family waiting over an hour in 44 deg heat, I'll never use Alamo again.

Great service. The only thing I dont like is the hard sell the car companies give to try and buy upgrades ect - but you send excellent notes out to warn us about it so not a problem.

When we went to the Alamo office at Sutterstreet in SF, to get the SUV as we ordered and agreed on at 9 AM, we only got the message that there was no SUV, that we could wait for three!! hours for our car or that we could get a fullsize car. For us, it felt as if there was no choice or option. We had to leave and could not wait for three hours, so we had to accept the fullsize. We asked for an upgrade instead of a downgrade, we asked for financial compensation, but Alamo did nothing for us. We still want to get part of our money back, but for us never Alamo again. A company that does not deliver as promised and in no way tries to help, not even now in handling our complaints. Hardly respons from the customer service department of Alamo.

I cannot complain, as always US Car hire & Alamo have done me proud, the only thing that could be improved & is no way a complaint is the vehicle I upgraded to wasn't available through your website; a crossover (GMC Arcadia). It wasn't expensive to upgrade but you guys maybe missed on a bit more commission?

Had to wait 20 minutes while they found me a standard SUV. Then after the first week I wanted to change to a convertible they wanted an extra $160. What a rip off
