This the second consecutive year I have used USCarHire.com and the service and competitive rates were excellent. Simple to search, select and book with really useful confirmation information and tips on what to expect when picking up vehicle, this helps avoid pitfalls of being up sold at the rental desk. I also added a ski rack this year which was confirmed as available by the UK team and was there fitted and ready when we picked it up from Alamo in Salt Lake City airport. We were really pleased with the car this years, it was a large SUV and had ample room in back with the 6 and 7 seats folded down. All in all a great service and I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and use again next time.

Once again great service, the only thing I will say with LA is they did not understand us checking in on line at first and said we had to go in the Queue until we explained to them how it worked. No problems with this in Florida we would not book with anyone else!

At the rental site, they had Chevrolet Equinox assigned for this category, which is rather small. A fellow USCarHire user got one in poor maintenance conditions. I Was fortunate to be upgraded to a larger SUV.

I am a little disappointed for 2 reasons. 1. The GPS which was given did not work properly and when asked Alamo to get some compensation they said since I had booked with USCarHire I will not be compensated. 2. During online booking, the enhancedroad side assistance was by mistake billed twice and I tried reaching all the possible contacts mentioned and nothing happened. So I lost 35$. Hence I have decided in the future not to go thru USCarHire as the support in case of any issues is really bad / poor.

The car hire experience with UScarhire was as usual faultless. The same cannot be said of Alamo. The line of vehicles offered as an SUV were no more than small crossovers. After much complaining we were offered a courtesy upgrade which happened to be the standard SUV ordered in the first place. The Alamo garage was quite dim, plus it was dark when we arrived at our villa, when I inspected the car the next morning I was shocked to see the state the car was in. Many dents, scuffs and scratches. The inside was filthy, the seats sticky, carpets full of rubbish. I rang Alamo and they offered a replacement. We made the 45 mile round trip back to the airport. We were then informed that the replacement would be down to the small crossover as the SUV was a courtesy upgrade!! After much more complaining we were offered an expensive upgrade to a Lincoln Navigator, $647 for the full ten week hire.This sounded a great deal and we confirmed with the desk clerk this was for the full 10 weeks. Halfway through filling the paperwork the desk clerk informed us she had made a mistake and the $647 was to the end of the first 4 weeks only.This was the fourth disappointment from Alamo in approx. 16 hours. We eventually finished up with a Ford Explorer which was acceptable after I spent over an hour cleaning the interior, this instead of another 4 hours trying to get a decent replacement. The quality control at Alamo seems to be none existent, cars are simply hosed down and back out for rental in the same state they are dropped off. Being a regular visitor to Florida I have noticed this decline in standards at Alamo over the last 2 to 3 years and have decided I will try an alternative company next time. P.S. The car was returned in spotless condition inside and out. I thought I would at least give one new customer a pleasurable experience!!!

Price quoted by US Car Hire is what I paid no extras Made so much easier by Alamo with pre check in to allow me to go straight to the garage and pick a car without having to wait in line to confirm booing at a desk
