Fly-n-High: an adventure on the water. - Orlando / Florida Guide
Florida Guide > Days Out
On the occasions when we have our grown up children with us, they require we find them something thrilling to do and Fly-n-High fit the bill perfectly. Fly-n-High are located on Madeira Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Here you can jet ski, para sail or drive a wave runner. They seem to have all the latest vehicles which is reassuring and are licensed.
Let us start with parasailing; here they have 1, 2 or 3 crafts ar even a new acquisition that takes 12 people. You will even see quite elderly people para sailing here which makes me feel like a coward! The best thing about this operation is that you do not have to get into the water at the start as they have a launch on the dock. Having said that, there is an option to free fall and dip (no thanks! )I do love these gung ho people who dare to do anything.
Now on to the jet skis and wave runners. You can explore the stunning waterways for 15 miles north and south of your start point and may even spot a dolphin. These vehicles are the latest on the market and there is no doubt that you get a big buzz from driving these.
This company also have charter boats for fishing or sight seeing. The fishing trips cost $175 for 4 hours or $225 for 6 hours.
The fishing trips do not require a license as they own a group one. The fly low experience does require a licence as you are looking for sea food and they also offer snorkelling trips
There are some age restrictions for certain activities so best to check ahead of time

After you have had your experience, you could spend the rest of the day at a beach; take your pick from the hectic and lovely Clearwater Beach, the historic St Pete Beach, the laid back Madeira Beach or Indian Rocks Beach where nothing much happens except for sand castle building, swimming or just sun bathing.
If you do not mind a rather longer drive (about an hour) I would suggest a trip to the number one beach in Florida which is Fort De Soto. Worth the drive!
