Shopping at Posner Park - Orlando / Florida Guide
Florida Guide > Shopping
Posner Park is situated on the 27 south just after the junction with the I4. If you want to enjoy your shopping without the hustle and bustle of crowds and also make the most of the car parking it is a good place to go.
We usually head south on the 27 from the 192 junction but if your villas is situated nearer to the I4 you may find it quicker to travel on this,
If we are going to shop early in the day we often stop at Denny’s just before the junction for breakfast. We find it makes a pleasant change to sit and be waited on after all the toing and froing at all you can eat breakfast restaurants. At any time of day you can also take advantage of their “2$ $4 or $6 menu which has some great items on.
No matter what time of day you go to Posner Park there is usually plenty of parking space. The centre itself is more in a long line than in a compact Mall and we tend to move the car at least once rather during our visit rather than having to keep walking a long way back to our car with our purchases.
We start at Best Buys where we find the staff extremely helpful and they provide a carry out service to your car for larger items. Mostly the prices for electrical goods are the same in dollars as we pay in the UK in pounds so there are some great bargains to be had. We have bought all our TVs for the villa here as well as Kindles and IPad to bring back to the UK.
From here my Mother and I usually head for J C Penney’s where we are quite capable of spending at least an hour! We find them great for Sleep wear and have quite a few dressing gowns from them as well as tops which are usually a bit different from some of the chain store items available in the UK.
Whilst we are in Penney’s my Father goes to Dicks Sporting Goods and we meet up again in Ross. Their slogan is “Dress for Less” and this really is true it is rather like a TK Maxx but cheaper!
For those interested in crafts there is a Michaels store you can usually get money off vouchers for Michaels in the weekend papers.
The Dollar Tree brings a whole new meaning to bargain shopping it is large and it may take you some time to go round this store.
Sally’s Beauty Supplies is similar to their UK stores but again with dollar for pound prices.
If you are felling peckish whilst you are there is a Cici’s Pizza parlour these are always good value, however If you want something more substantial go to Sake the sushi steak and wine bar. You can also enjoy a yoghurt at Daddy’s Frozen Yoghurt.
My Father usually goes to Staples whilst we browse around Books a Million where we all meet up for a coffee at the end of our shopping trip.
Before we head for home we have a quick trip to Target for food shopping before we head back to the villa usually for a lazy afternoon around the pool.
Posner Park is well worth a visit.
