My Florida holiday diary day 5

Yet another early start. We have a lovely breakfast outside on the deck, watching the eagles soar above and the mist on the water as the sun rises.

After breakfast we sit and discuss what we would like to do for the day. PLEASE…. can we play in the pool? Yes, that sounds like a great plan, so the girls go and change into their swimming costumes and we make sure they have applied their sunscreen.

I settle down on the comfy sun lounger with a good book, keeping a watchful eye on the girls. They are having great fun, playing at being a dolphin! We have some pool toys which keep them amused.

Soon, its gets too warm for me so I slip into the lovely cool water, so refreshing! I lie on the blow up airbed and just float around the pool watching the airplane above write messages in the sky……. Jesus loves you……written in a trail of white smoke.

We relax around the pool until mid afternoon when we feel we have soaked up enough sun, and decide to go shopping.

We travel a few miles north on the highway 27 to Khols department store, where we all find something to buy, new clothes for us all!

We continue up the 27 to the shopping plaza, here there a quite a few stores for us to look around. First we go into Michaels, a craft store full of interesting things, and the girls buy some beads to thread into jewellery. The shoe store has lots to choose from and we spend a bit more money!

T. J. Max is good for hunting down a bargain, and we found some bargain priced designer wear here…. . more money spent! Penny’s department store has a good make up section, and so, yes you guessed it, more money spent. I got some “bare minerals” make up at a fraction of the cost in the UK.
All this shopping made us hungry, and as there are several places to eat here we couldn’t decide between the “red lobster” and the “Olive garden”. We let the girls choose and they decided to go Italian in the olive garden. We had fresh salad and breadsticks to start, which are unlimited, then I had Stuffed chicken marsala for my entrée which is oven-roasted chicken breast stuffed with Italian cheeses and sun-dried tomatoes, topped with mushrooms and a creamy marsala sauce, served with garlic parmesan mashed potatoes. ……. absolutely delicious!

My daughter had chicken and shrimp carbonara, and the girls had chicken alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs.

We were all too full for desert so we decided to have some ice cream later on back at the villa by the pool.

5 minutes drive and we were back home and we all relaxed in the spa and chatted about our day. We all agreed it was a great day!
