Many people ask how near our villas are to the attractions. As I and many other owners have villas on Highway 27 I thought I would give you some idea of distances to the most popular attractions.
Villas located in Highway 27 are close to many shops, bars and restaurants including, Sante Fe Steakhouse, Chilis, Starbucks, MacDonalds and Burger King, Dominoes Pizza delivery, huge Walmart superstores, drug stores, banks, petrol stations and post offices.
They are approximately 30 miles from Orlando Airport and 60 miles from Sanford Airport.
Some of the most important mileages you may like to know are as follows:
Disneyworld - 8 – 15 miles
Universal Studios - 22 miles
Seaworld Park - 20 miles
Wet & Wild water theme park - 20 miles
Busch Gardens - 65 miles
Kennedy Space Centre - 80 miles
Daytona Beach - 85 miles
Tampa Bay - 65 miles
Sarasota - 120 miles
(All these are approximate)
Slightly further away but quite reachable with maybe a nights stay in a motel are:
Miami Beach - 250 miles
The Everglades National Park, Florida - 300 miles
The nearest golf courses are within a 30 mile radius, some are even on Golf Complexes. You can rent your clubs. There are also many unique crazy golf courses in and out of Disney. There are over 30 lakes in the area, on which to enjoy all manner of water sports including swimming with dolphins.
The beautiful beaches of Florida' s Gulf Coast are only 70 miles away, where you can experience the casual, tropical beauty and relaxed lifestyle on the Gulf. One of the best is Sarasota, miles of sandy beaches and beautiful warm water. Alternatively visit Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral, the ultimate Disney holiday experience or the world famous Daytona Beach on the Atlantic coast also 70 miles away.
There is some of the best shopping to be had in Florida nearby with bargain prices at the factory outlets. All very much cheaper than in Europe - especially the UK. These are located at:
Prime Factory Outlet (formerly known as Beltz), International Drive - 25 miles
Premium Factory Outlet, Vinelands Avenue - 15 Miles
Plus larger shopping malls at:
Posner Park Mall, Highway 27, Davenport
Florida Mall - 25 miles
Mall of the Millenia - 20 miles (a must for high end shopping Gucci, Dior etc)
These are of course approximate mileages depending where you are on Highway 27 but they do give you a rough idea.
