Clearwater Beach is located on the west coast of Florida and provides white, sandy and serene beaches combined with the gentle, silky waters of the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, Clearwater is very proud to have been designated a Blue Wave Beach. This designation identifies the nation's best beaches and the program is overseen by the Clean Beaches Council which promotes beaches managed to protect their natural assets, insuring excellence in the areas of water quality, cleanliness, safety, habitat conservation and erosion management.
Clearwater Beach is a very special place, and has also received the Clean Water, Clean Sand designation from the Healthy Beaches Campaign, a project of the Laboratory for Coastal Research. This designation recognizes beaches that preserve their natural resources, including wildlife, maintain EPA standards and reduce pollution. Clearwater Beach is also the only beach in Pinellas County with year-round lifeguards.

Restaurants are plentiful and offer an excellent choice of dishes from Italian pizzerias to Greek to fish restaurants and more; many with breathtaking views. In the evening you can visit one of the nightclubs or tiki bars to dance and enjoy your favourite music or you can take in an outdoor concert or local festival in downtown Clearwater or see theatre and orchestra performances at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall. Every October, Clearwater hosts its Jazz Festival, a free, four day event with local artists and performers.
Clearwater is located about 90 minutes from Orlando’s many theme parks and is a wonderful alternative to the busy city of Orlando Florida.
