Naples IS shopping With the fabulous Fifth Avenue and Third Street where you will find very exclusive shops and impressive art galleries, equal to any at Beverly Hills and the many discounted malls and outlets.
Just make sure you have your credit card with you!
The Village on Venetian Bay is a mix of speciality shops nestled in a Mediterranean style complex over looking the waterfront. Some lovely individual stores with beautiful clothes, shoes and jewellery to look at.
The Waterside Shopping Centre at Pelican Bay is a brand new experience built around sprawling pools and waterfalls. Located just off US41 at the junction with Seagate Drive, it is definitely worth a visit. Not a very large shopping centre, but very pretty. Mainly designer stores and there are no discounted prices here. This one is for the rich, but some great window shopping for all and a couple of lovely places to eat, as well as a Starbucks” .
The Miromar Outlets is another large shopping centre. Exit 123 off I75 and you can’t miss it. With over 140 top designer brand names at discounted prices, some even 70% off retail price, it is always very popular. Voted South West Florida’s “Best Factory Mall” for eight years in a row and as soon as you arrive you will see why.
The most popular mall is Coastlands Mall, located off Route 41 by Golden Gate junction. Here you will find all of your favourite large department stores, Macey’s, J.C. Penny’s, and of course Sears, as well as all the smaller well know shops. Surprising it’s never all that busy and there are plenty of bargains to be had by all.
Restaurants in NaplesI would just like to take a few minutes to tell you about our favorite restaurants in Naples.
Firstly, The Turtle Club, one of the few places you can have dinner on the beach after watching the sun set, or you can choose to sit inside. Located on Gulf Shore Drive. Bookings are recommended. Valley parking only.
Sunday afternoon at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, where they have live music on the beach by the bar. Very popular with the locals and gets busy about half an hour before sunset. This is one of only a few beach bars, so well worth a visit.
On Fifth Avenue you will find two of our favorite restaurants, Chops and Yabbas. Again booking is advisable, especially in high season. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of food and service is excellent.
Of course you can still find all the old favorites in Naples like Chillies, TGI Fridays etc. And located by the Coastland Shopping Mall is “The Cheesecake Factory”. If you have never eaten here before, you have been missing out, so give it a try.
