Red Lobster - what a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere and ambiance is good and the staff at the one we went to were very friendly and helpful. Not only were they able to discuss the menu in detail, but they were also able to explain recipes and cooking methods, although were careful to keep some special recipes secret!
Red Lobster is a chain of seafood restaurants and there are several in and around the Orlando area. They don’t just serve lobster of course, although it is always on the menu and there are even some in a tank near the door which could end up on your plate if you like to ‘catch’ your own meal. The menu is extensive and every day there is a variety of fresh fish to choose from. As well as standard menu items they have their ‘Fish of the Day’ which varies from day to day.
For seafood lovers you can choose from Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Tilapia, plump and juicy shrimp, cat fish, scallops, crab and, of course lobster. The meals are prepared in a variety of ways – some quite simple and others with a fantastic blend of spices and glazes. If there are some members of your group who are not keen on seafood there is still plenty on the menu for them to choose from. There are steaks, chicken and salads and for children there is, in addition to a selection of fish and meat dishes, the ubiquitous Mac and Cheese. All meals, whether fish, steak or a kid’s meal, all come with Red Lobster’s famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. They are served warm and are absolutely delicious – it would be tempting just to eat them all day, but then there wouldn’t be room for your tasty seafood!
After eating you fill of the beautiful seafood you might not feel able to eat a dessert, but just in case you can still manage something they have a nice menu. They have ice creams, cheesecakes and crumbles and the great Florida favourite, Key Lime Pie. Of course, if you can’t manage anything straight after your meal, you can always ask for it in a box to take away and eat later.
They have Dinner, Lunch and Kids menus (as well as their special ones) so whichever time of the day you go, and whether you are there with your family or a group of adults, you can be sure that there will be a great variety to choose from.
