I completed the registration form before I went so I could use the self service desk and not have to wait. When I got to the Alamo section it was absolute chaos and you couldn't even get near the self service points. No-one at Alamo seemed to know what was going on and didn't care. When we eventually manged to get to the self service machine I had to input all the information I had already done online and so this was a complete waste of time. Also, we had 2 bookings, but the machine wouldn't let us put the 2nd booking in & we had to go to the counter. The queue was massive so we just went to the front to see the Manager who finally got us all the paperwork. After an eternity we were able to go to the car. However, there wasn't a choice as stated, we were just given the car that was left. What a farce! I have always used Alamo previously, but this experience left me with a sour taste.

Very easy ordering online. Reassuring to have everything pre-booked and all the insurances understood prior to travelling. Only negative related to Alamo itself ie long, slow moving queues at the airport and a determination from the sales assistant to sell us upgrades - questioning the validity of the information we had been given by USCarHire in order to try and get a sale.

Very easy to book, no problems at rental desk, as regular Alamo customers they had our details on file so it was quick and simple with no hard sell. We were able to decline roadside assistance as we already had it through this site.

whole process with US Car Hire was perfect, the package offered not only is very competitive (best I have found) best of all it negates the opportunity for the hire car rep to sell anything extra which really is a blessing after a long flight or 2

Fantastic service as usual - always a pleasure to deal with. The van was a little more basic then before - but that could have been my fault as I picked it from the car park. The Town & Country has a higher spec level. Will book again though

The rental was great, the only downside was despite registering for the Self Service kiosk when I went to use the machine in RSW there was no scanning facility for the booking reference and I also had to re-key nearly all the information. Not sure if this is a problem at Alamo end....and is by no means a criticism of US CAR HIRE :)

I have to say that my experience with Alamo was great. The car was super and when we managed to get the online check-in done at the Airport, the process was very smooth. Dropping the car back was effortless as well. The only issue I had is that we had to re-enter a lot of details at the online kiosk at the airport, having already input this information online before we went.

Checkin procedure with Alamo was very cumbersome. Our group was hiring 2 cars (twinned with booking ref 61383984) and the kiosk check-in could not accommodate us given that we were adding the same drivers to both cars. We had entered all of the relevant details via Alamo website prior to our trip. Nothwithstanding the issues with 2 cars, the fact that you enter all of the additional driver details etc. via the Alamo website and are then required to do so again at the kiosk is very unhelpful. Previous experiences of Dollar check-in (for cars booked through uscarhire.com) were much better.

The only thing I would suggest needs improving is instructions for the process at Orlando airport. We didn't know if we'd to use the computer terminals or queue, although we'd filled in and printed the form to let us fasttrack. It might have been better if we'd been sent details of what to do at the airport ie we'd just to head straight to the car garage with our barcode printout and take a car and go! It was actually very easy but we spent a bit of time faffing at the machine thinking we'd to do something! I eventually interrupted a sales assistant to ask what to do and he told me to go straight to garage and it was simple from then on.

Glad of advice about various upgrades we would be offered, great customer service from yourselves & car hire firm. Only disappointment was that we thought we'd put my wife as a named driver but because her name didn't appear on the voucher she couldn't drive without further cost

Booked last year no problem took out gold insurance really good price. Picking up car was really quick and easy no hard sell due to having gold insurance. Got out of Alamo in about 20 minuets, Would use this site again definitely. Good choice of cars got a nice plum coloured town and country
